Hack eBook Reader

I want to hack an old cheap eBook reader, to run Linux, and get on line with WiFi and 3G. I have a USB air card I can use for the 3G and a USB WiFi device.
I want to have a lite GNU/Linux operating system system and some apps. I could use Google Chrome OS or Android might be pretty cool, too.
Anyone have any suggestions, know of some good plans or if you have tried this yourself?
